Infinity Wholefoods

From A Vegan Guide To Bristol 2004.

Infinity Wholefoods started life as shop in North Road, Brighton (still there and going strong) in 1970, and in 1975 opened it's warehouse just outside of Brighton to cater for the rapidly exanding wholefood market in the southeast.

Now one of the biggest distributors in the country, Infinity reaches the whole of the UK and it's own - label produce (which covers just about every wholefood imaginable) is available nationwide. A Co-op with strong ethical principles (much like Essential and Suma, two of the other main players in the field), and employing approximately 30 people, Infinity have never been afraid to offer a hand of help to many local and national worthy ventures, and this year are raising their profile considerably at the Brighton Natural Trade Show by sponsoring a whole pavillion their.

Infinity are well known througout the trade not only for their top quaity products (the Infinity pumpkin seeds, for instance, are one of the biggest selling wholefood products in the UK) but also for their exemplary manners and the way they go on generally. Many people in the trade sing their praises, and they are generally known as the easiest distributors in the country to do business with. One thing almost unique in the trade is their ability/willingness to pay on time. I guess it might be expected that in a trade founded mainly by hippies in the sixties, payment for goods comes way down the list, or at least being on time does. Not so Infinity (or for that matter Queenswood). Wayne Rooney could time his runs by the arrival an Infinity cheque (post willing). Saying that, mind, the others are pretty good too really.
