Health Unlimited
From A Vegan Guide To Bristol 2005.
Health Unlimited can be found over the river southside not a stones throw from the city ground, just down the road from the Tobacco Factory and not a million miles from the Southville Deli. North Street is one of Bristols up and coming zones, and with some great new additions including Teohs noodle bar, is becoming very handy for those on special diets and taking responsibility for their own health - which seems to be half of Bristol these days.
Health Unlimited is run by Jules, Patrick and Charlie and between them they have a vast knowledge of all things healthy, and with the products to match. Patrick is a qualified nutritional therapist with years of experience where it matters - dealing with people on a daily basis, listening to their problems and then coming up with solutions, learning continuously from experience as well as study and research.
Jules is a trained therapist in many techniques and is available for private consultations, and Charlie is the showman of the tree, keeping the public up to date with the latest developments in health scares and solutions.
People like these are usually one step ahead and are already prepared for demand for specific products -for instance, when the news broke in Feb 2004 in the nationals about parabens (common preservatives in most mainstream body care products ) being linked to breast cancer, a shop like Health Unlimited was already stocking several paraben free ranges, because they will have known about the problems associated with parabens for several years.
Health Unlimited also run a specialist mail order service for a variety of products - check out their website for a full list. Or visit their shop for a full view of whats on offer, or chat about what you require.
These guys are very active n the community, and are supporters of a number of local and national initiatives, including sponsoring the Bristol Vegan Fayre 2004 and 2005.
