The August Bristol Vegans meet up took place at the new vegetarian cafe which opened back in May. Billing itself as a cafe and jukebox joint, run as a workers co-operative, where all the directors are vegan.

Most of the food is organic and locally sourced, simple, and affordably priced.

We were able to choose from the Tapas Platter, Vegetable Chilli, Leek, Mushroom and 'Bacon' Pie, Thai Green Curry, and vegan breakfast (being Sunday), along with Falafel Platter, Large Portabello Mushrooms on Chunky Toast, Grilled Tomato and Houmous on Bagel, Hot Sausage Sandwich with tomato and mustard, Bread & Olives , their famous chocolate and rasberry fudge cake, and icedream sundae.

As always, they were happy to alter anything to suit needs/tastes/allergies etc as much as is possible.

We had the downstairs to ourselves, and was enjoyed by all. Many thanks to all at Cafe Kino.
