Beautiful location in the heart of Montpelier in Picton Street, this was the original wholefood shop in Bristol, opening way back in the early Seventies (could even have been the late Sixties). Charming building houses an excellent choice of wholefoods and groceries, plus a very welcome organic fresh fruit and veg section, as well as a juice bar and a café out the back. As it happens I am not too sure if either the juice bar or the café are open at the moment, but the shop most definitely is, and has an excellent deli section too for those wanting a quick wholesome snack. Thriving notice board serves as dynamite community contact zone, with allsorts of stuff up there – worth a visit just to keep in touch with what’s going on in this pukka part of town.
