My personal favourite, especially as it is only about 300 yards
from my front door. Rammed full of the best quality organic fruit
and veg, with fresh deliveries daily. Great selection of hummus
including San Amvrosia and Natural Vitality, plus smoothies,
juices, hemp oil and a first rate selection of vegan chocolate, as
well as the Sikelia range of exotic Sicilian pestos. Worth a weekly
visit not just for the staples (including loads of that gorgeous
bread from Gloucester firm The Authentic Bread Company) but also
for some unusual variations that pop up from time to time,
especially in the fresh section. The best thing in 2005 in my
humble opinion was theses superb quality huge Spanish melons which
were only two quid a throw and absolutely divine on the inside,
succulent flesh with a dazzling combination a flavours and
aftertastes never to be found in the tired old boring supermarkets
crap fruit and veg section. Must visit experience if you value your
food.
