Description
Traditional cosy little pub on a cobbled street just off the city centre, with several different Samuel Smith's available both on tap and in the bottle. Pool table, relaxed and friendly, with decent prices and some veggie/vegan food on the menu, including a rather nice veggie chilli.

"A place that sells Vegan Stout is always a winner in my book. I think that this is a rare find of a pub, cosy in the evenings with clearly labelled vegan beer. I have only eaten chips here-nothing else on the menu is vegan. Pop over to falafel king on the way home if you want food. "

"If you are visiting this establishment just for a drink during your lunch break or after work or before heading on to pastures grandeur, then this is an okay pub with real-gas effect fire blazing to make you feel warm on a chilly day. However, if you are planning to have food to accompany your beverage, then be warned and basically, DON'T! The food was nauseating to say the least. Poorly presented and under-cooked, the added insult was the description of what was ordered was not what resembled the plate, a case for trade description no doubt. To add insult to injury, the staff's attitude was curt and unwarranted. Needless to say, this is one establishment I will not be visiting again. "

"I'm yet to eat here, but the beers are lovely, especially the Sam Smiths wheat beer. "
