Minibus leaving Bristol for Climate Change march
Saturday December 6th is Climate Change march in London – and there is a minibus leaving Bristol fro those who want to go
The groundbreaking UN report published 2 years ago, Livestock’s Long Shadow – Environmental Issues and Actions, highlighted the fact that the livestock sector is responsible for a whapping 18% of green-house gasses. This is a higher share than transport. Despite this, we can all think of “environmentalists” that still eat meat. Why? Probably because they simply don’t realise what a huge impact eating meat has on the environment. Those animal loving vegans must be exaggerating, surely…?
With more and more statistics available on the destructive impact farmed animals have on the environment, now is our chance to promote the vegan diet for the sake of the planet. The media certainly doesn’t seem to be helping us out much, so its time for us to hit the streets!
The annual climate change march in London attracts thousands of people with a concern for the environment. This year the march is on Saturday 6th December. There will be a vegan block on the march made up of people from across the country. This is a great opportunity to show the large voice of vegans who are against climate change, and promote veganism. Don’t feel constrained – you don’t have to stick with the block – there will also be a chance to leaflet the whole march and members of the public too.
Come along and join us on the march! If there are enough people happy to travel from central Bristol at about 8am to the march, we will organise transport. We will return to Bristol by 9.30pm. If you are interested, please email vegans4environment@doramail.com or phone/text 07960 036 044 by 10th November.
